Bob Karp’s Ballot Pamphlet Biography

Bob Karp is a UCLA graduate, entrepreneur, and Cochise County resident since 2005. In his 50 plus years in business, he has owned a small aerospace manufacturing company, a software development company and, after moving to Arizona, a real estate brokerage in Sierra Vista.

Bob has served as President of the Southeast Arizona Association of Realtors and on the Sierra Vista Planning and Zoning Commission. He previously ran for the Arizona House of Representatives in 2018 and for the State Senate in 2020 and 2024.

Now, Bob is running for the Arizona State Senate to bring new leadership and mainstream problem-solving to Legislative District 19. He believes it is time for a focus on public school education, water security, affordable healthcare, working families, and government reform.

My mainstream values include defending Arizona's public schools by reforming the ESA voucher program, advocating for a fair and responsible tax system, protecting women's reproductive freedom, safeguarding water rights for small farms and residential well owners, and opposing new mining operations that threaten groundwater supplies and environmentally significant areas such as the Willcox Playa. I support Arizona's long-standing, secure, nonpartisan election system and will continue to defend the integrity of our elections against misinformation and unfounded attacks and protecting the privacy of Arizona voters by preventing the unnecessary sharing of their personal information with the federal government.

My reform agenda includes establishing meaningful term limits for members of the Arizona Legislature, advocating for universal healthcare, expanding state childcare tax credits to help working families, ending tax giveaways that disproportionately benefit the wealthiest Arizonans, and opposing the construction of large data centers in Legislative District 19,

Gail Griffin is a professional politician that has been in the Arizona State Legislature for over 24 years.  We deserve better.  It is time for change. I look forward to providing voters in Legislative District 19 with a mainstream voice and new leadership.
